Central University Of Punjab, Bathinda Recruitment-2013, For The Post Of Deputy Librarian, Medical officer, Information Scientist & Professional Assistant (Qualification: Graduate Civil Engg.): Central University Of Punjab, Bathinda invites application for the post of Deputy Librarian, Medical officer, Information Scientist & Professional Assistant. DETAILS FOR THE POST OF DEPUTY LIBRARIAN:-

Number of Vacancy: 01 Post

Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the post of Deputy Librarian should have done 

(i).  A Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.

(ii). Five years experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 + AGP Rs.6,000/-

(iii). Evidence of Innovative Library Services, organization of published work and professional commitment. Experience in computerization of Library.

Essential Requirements: Operational Knowledge of Library Automation and Networking.

Age Limit: Age of the applying candidates should not be more than 45 years for direct entry and not more than 56 for deputation.

Pay Scale: selected candidates will get 15600-39100+AGP 8000.

DETAILS FOR THE POST OF MEDICAL OFFICER:-

Number of Vacancy: 02 Posts (1 male and 1 female)

Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the post of Medical officer should have done M.B.B.S. with at least 55% marks from a recognized university and have 5 years of experience as Medical Officer in a residential teaching institution or a hospital OR have done M.D./M.S. in any medical speciality. Candidates those who posses Post Graduation will be preferred.

Age Limit: Age of the applying candidates should not be more than 45 years for direct entry and not more than 56 years for deputation.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get 15600-39100+GP 5400.

DETAILS FOR THE POST OF INFORMATION SCIENTIST:-

Number of Vacancy: 01 Post

Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the post of Information Scientist should have done First class B.E./B.Tech. (Computer Science / Information Technology) or equivalent OR Master’s Degree in Computer Applications (MCA) or equivalent with minimum 60 % of marks OR Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science.

Experience: Applying candidates should possess at least five years experience, out of which three years in Library Automation, preferably in University/Institute/College/PSU.

Age Limit: Age of the applying candidates should preferably below  45 years.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get 15600-39100+GP 5400.

DETAILS FOR THE POST OF PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANT:-

Number of Vacancy: 01 Post

Educational Qualification:-

• Candidates applying for the post of Professional Assistant should have done M.Lib. Sc./MLIS or equivalent with 50% marks OR Master’s Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce or any other discipline with 50% and B.Lib.Sc./BLIS with 50% marks. 
• Candidates should have done Post Graduate Diploma/Certificate Course in Computer Application/Computer Science/Library Automation from a recognized institute of minimum 6 months duration. 

Experience: applying candidates should posses at least 4 years of experience as Junior Professional Assistant or equivalent grade in a College/University/Research Library with adequate knowledge in Library automation. 

Desirable: Good communication skills in Hindi and English.

Age Limit: Age of the applying candidates should preferably below 40 years.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get 9300-34800 + GP 4200.
