Border security force(BSF): The Border Security Force is a union government agency under the supervision of the administrative control of Ministry of Home Affairs The border security force of India is responsible for protecting and maintain peace at border and border security force guards India land border.

Border Security Force(BSF) invites application from eligible and courageous Indian citizens for the recruitment of 58 vacancies under Sub –Inspector head the vacancy is temporary be may become permanent.

Name Of The Post: Sub –Inspector (works)
Number of Vacancies: 58 Posts
Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the vacancies of Sub –Inspector should have done three years diploma in civil engineering form a reputed institute recognized by the government of India.
Age Limit: Age of the applying candidates should not be more than 30 years.
Physical standards for male:-
  • Height: 165 Cms
  • Weight: Proportionate to height  
  • Chest: 78-81 Cms
Physical standards for female:-
  • Height: 157
  • Weight: Proportionate to height  
Medical Standards: The applying candidate’s should be fit on medical grounds they should have eyesite of 6/6 an 6/9 for both the eyes. Should not have knocking knees varicose veins or squint eyes and they should also have high color vision.

Application Fee: Rs: 50/-
*Note: Application fee is exempted for ST/ST, Ex-Servicemen, BSF Candidates and women Candidates.

Mode of Payment: Applying candidates need to submit the requisite amount of fee in form of demand draft or postal order. The payment is to be made in favor of the address to the respective location where candidate is sending his/her application. Candidates can view the detailed advertisement to view the SBI code no / Postal Order regarding payment.

How to Apply: Candidates applying for sub-inspector need to submit the duly filled in application form to the respective location as mentioned in detailed advertisement the envelope should be superscribed with “APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT OF SUB-INSPECTOR (WORKS) IN BSF ENGG SET UP 2014”.

List of Enclosure: Candidates need to make sure the following list of items exists before sending their forms:-
  • Application and admit card duly filled up and signed by the candidate only.
  • Candidates need to attach three recent size passport photographs and affix two in the spaces provided in application form.
  • Application fee of Rs 50/- in form of demand draft / IPO.
  • Attested caste certificates (if applicable).
  • Attested certificates in case of candidates seeking relaxation (candidates residing in hill /adivasis candidates).
  • Attested copy of matriculation certificate.
  • Copies of essential technical qualification and work experience wherever required.
  • Copy of discharge certificate in case of ex-serviceman.
  • Two self addressed envelopes of size 25X12 cms with postal stamp on it of Rs 39/- each.
  • Attested copy of NOC in case of government employee.
  • Age relaxation certificate for candidates belonging to J & K during the period from 1st January, 1980 to 31 December, 1989.
  • Age relaxation certificate children and department family members of those who were killed in the communal riots of the year 1984 Punjab and Gujarat in 2002.
Last Date: Last date to apply for the post of sub-inspector (works) is within 30 days of publication of the advertisement.
