About Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC):-

Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) earlier known as Subordinate Services Selection Board (SSCB) was constituted as per the provision of Article 309 of constitution of India, vide Haryana Government Notification No. 523-3GS-70/2068. Dated 28th January, 1970.Through it was granted statutory status of Haryana Staff Selection Commission vide Haryana Govt. Gazette Notification dated 28th February, 2005.

Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) conducts examinations/Interviews for appointments to Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ services. Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) decides the selection mode and fixed selection criteria to posts as per the requirement of the department when the concerned departments sent the request to the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) which are duly advertised in 4 newspapers (2 Hindi & 2 English) and also on website.

Educational Qualification:-

• Clerk: An applicant applying for the post of Clerk should be a  10+2/10+2 First division/Graduation or its equivalent from a recognized Board/University.

• Steno Typist (English/Hindi/Both Languages): An applicant applying for the post of Steno Typist should be a 10+2/10+2 First Division/Graduation or its equivalent from any recognized University/Board. For English the speed should be 80 words per minute and a transcription speed of 15 words per minute where mistake percentage should not be more than 8%. For Hindi the speed should be 64 words per minute and transcription speed of 11 words per minute where mistake percentage should not be more than 8%.

• Junior Scale Stenographer (English/Hindi/Both Languages): An applicant applying for the post of Junior Scale Stenographer should be a 10+2/10+2 First Division/Graduation or its equivalent from any recognized University/Board. For English the speed should be 100 words per minute and a transcription speed of 20 words per minute where mistake percentage should not be more than 8%. For Hindi the speed should be 80 words per minute and transcription speed of 15 words per minute where mistake percentage should not be more than 8%.

• Senior Scale Stenographer (English/Hindi/Both Languages): An applicant applying for the post of Senior Scale Stenographer should be a 10+2/10+2 First Division/Graduation or its equivalent from any recognized University/Board. For English the speed should be 100 words per minute and a transcription speed of 20 words per minute where mistake percentage should not be more than 8%. For Hindi the speed should be 80 words per minute and transcription speed of 15 words per minute where mistake percentage should not be more than 8%.

• Driver (Light Transport Vehicle)/Driver (Heavy Transport Vehicle)/Tractor Driver/ Driver: Candidates applying for these posts should have passed Middle/Matric or its equivalent from any recognized board.

Age Limit:-

Age of Driver for Rajya Sainik Board Haryana should be in between 25 to 50 Years and for all others post the age of an applicant should be in between 17 to 40 Years.
