About SSC (Staff Selection Commission):-
SSC (Staff Selection Commission) is an Organization of India with its headquarter at New Delhi, with seven regional offices located at Allahabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bangalore and 2 Sub-Regional offices located at Raipur & Chandigarh.
SSC (Staff Selection Commission) came into effect from 1st June, 1999 and the function of SSC is to conduct examinations/Interviews for recruitment to Group ‘B” & Group “C” posts in the various ministries and departments of the Government Of India and in subordinates offices.
SSC Staff Selection Commission is consist of Chairman, 2 Members and a Secretary-Cum-Controller of Examination. SSC is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training.

Compiler: an applicant applying for the post of “Compiler” should have a Bachelor’s Degree with Economics/Stastistics/Mathmatics as a compulsory or elective subject from any recognized University/Institution.
Statistical Investigator Grade – II: An applicant applying for the post of “Statistical Investigator Grad–II” should have a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as one of the main subject.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics with statistics as a main subject in any of the year of graduation.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree with Economics with Statistics as a main subject in any of the year of graduation
OR
Bachelor’s Degree with Commerce with Statistics as a main subject in any of the year of graduation.

For All Other Posts: For all other posts an applicant should have a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University/Institute.
Age Limit:-
For Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Age for Statistical Investigator Grade-II is not more then 26 Years.
For Assistant/Sub Inspector in CBI: Age for Assistant/Sub Inspector in CBI is between 20 to 27 Years.
For All Other Posts: Age for all other post should be in between 18 to 27 Years.
Selection Criteria:-
Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in written examination followed by interview. The exam for SSC CGL will be conducted in 3 Tiers as given below:-
Tier – I: Tier – I Examination will be written examination of objective multiple choice type questions.
Tier – II: Tier – II Examination will again be a written examination of objective multiple type question.
Tier – III: Tier – III Examination will be a Personality Test cum Interview/Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test (Wherever Applicable)/Document Verification & Descriptive/On-Line test of qualifying nature.
Tier – II: Tier – II Examination will again be a written examination of objective multiple type question.
Tier – III: Tier – III Examination will be a Personality Test cum Interview/Computer Proficiency Test/Skill Test (Wherever Applicable)/Document Verification & Descriptive/On-Line test of qualifying nature.
Application Fees:-
Rs. 100 (Women/SC/ST/PH/Ex-Servicemen candidates eligible for reservation are exempted from application fees.)
