The Chairman of Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is Prof (Dr) N K Ganguly, This medical school was converted into Dhanvantari Medical College at the time of de facto transfer of Pondicherry to Government of India. Lator in 1964 this Medical College was upgraded after Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's name (who laid the foundation stone after Indian government's takeover of the institution) and named into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER). Details For The Post Of Professor:-
- Pay Scale: Candidates selected for the post of Professor with Jawaharlal Institute Of Post Graduate Medical Education And Research (JIPMER) will be placed at the pay scale of PB-4: Rs. 37400.00-67000.00 + GP Rs. 10,500.00/-(Academic Grade Pay) with a minimum of Rs.51,600.00/- + NPA.
- Age Limit: Candidates applying for the post of Professor with Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) should not be of more than 58 years of age.
Details For The Post Of Assistant Professor:-
- Pay Scale: Candidates selected for the post of Assistant Professor with Jawaharlal Institute Of Post Graduate Medical Education And Research (JIPMER) will be placed at the pay scale of PB-3: Rs. 15600.00-39100.00 + GP Rs. 8000.00/- (Academic GradePay) with a minimum of Rs. 30,000.00/- + NPA.
- Age Limit: Candidates applying for the post of Assistant Professor with Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) should not be of more than 58 years of age.
Candidates applying for the abov e mentioned vacancies of Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) need to pay an application fees of Rs. 500.00 for General & OBC Category, and Rs. 250.00 For SC/ST Category to be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favor of "Acounts Officer, JIPMER, Puducherry payable at State Bank of India, JIPMER Branch, Puducherry - 605006".
