International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) established in the year 1956 jointly by the United Nations, The Government of India and The Sir Dorabji Tata Trust to serve as a regional center for teaching, training and conducting research in the area of population studies in the ESCAP region. The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) is located at Mumbai, India and the Director of IIPS is Prof. Faujdar Ram. Till July 1970 International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) was known as the Demographic Training and Research Centre (DTRC) and declared as a Deemed University on 19th August, 1985 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

• Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the vacancy of professor at department of Public Health & Mortality Studies should have done Ph.D. in Demography/Bio-Medical Science/Environmental Science/Life Science/ Statistics/ mathematics/Public Health/Preventive and Social Medicine/Biostatistics or in any Social Science subjects listed in ICSSR with specialization in Population Studies preference will be given to Preference will be given to a person with teaching experience in Bio-stat. or Public Heath.
• Experience: Applying candidates should have minimum 10 years of experience.
• Age Limit: Age of the applying candidates should be below 50 Years
• Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get Rs.37000-67000 AGP Rs.10000

• Age Limit: Age of the applying candidates should be more than 35 Years.
• Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the vacancy of Assistant professor department of Development Studies should hold a Master's Degree in Population Studies/Environmental Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/Health Economics or in any Social Sciences subject listed in ICSSR with specialization in Population Studies with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade, Preference will be given to a person with teaching experience in Bio-stat. or Public Heath AND Have done Ph.D in Population Studies and/or 2 publications in peer reviewed journals in the area of Population and Development (optional)
• Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get Rs.15600-39100 AGP Rs.6000 

Details For The Post of Assistant Professor (OBC):-

• Number of Vacancy: 01
• Category: OBC
• Department: Mathematical Demography & Statistics
• Age Limit: Age of the applying candidates should be more than 35 Years.
• Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for the vacancy of Assistant professor at department of Mathematical Demography & Statistics should hold a Master's Degree in Demography/Statistics/Economics/Biostatistics with specialization in Demography with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Master's Degree level. AND Applying candidates should have done Ph.D in demography/ Statistics/ Mathematics/Economics with specialization in Mathematical Demography and/or at least 2 publications in peer reviewed journals in the area of Mathematical Demography & Statistics (optional).
• * Preference will be given to a person with teaching experience in Bio-stat. or Public Heath.
