About Sikkim Public Service Commission: -
Sikkim became an integral part of the Indian Union in May, 1975. The Public Commission has actually started functioning from 1982. The Sikkim Public Service Commission has been established under Article 315 of the Constitution of India. The Commission consists of a Chairman and one Member.
The Sikkim Public Service Commission have been entrusted with the following duties and role under the Constitution:-
Recruitment to services & posts under the State through conduct of competitive examinations, Recruitment to services & posts under the State Government by selection through Interviews, Advising on the suitability of officers for appointment on promotion, Advising Government on all matters relating to methods of recruitment to various services & posts, Disciplinary cases relating to all government employees and Miscellaneous matters relating to grant of extra ordinary pensions, reimbursement of legal expenses etc.
The major role played by the Commission is to select persons to man the various Services and Posts.

- Veterinary Officer
- Jr. Disease Investigation Officer
- Artificial Insemination Officer
- Rinderpest Officer
- Poultry Development Officer
Total Number of Vacancies: 08 Posts
Educational Qualification: Candidates interested in applying for the current vacancies of Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) should be a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a recognized University.
Other Qualification: Candidates applying for the mentioned vacancies of Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) should be conversant with the customs and usages of Sikkim, Should have valid Local Employment Card, and Should have communicative skill in English/Hindi, Nepali and Mother tongue.
Age Limit: An applicant should be of between 21 years to 30 year of age.
Pay Scale: Candidates selected for the current posts of Sikkim Public Service Commission (SPSC) will be placed at the pay scale of PB - 2 of Rs. 9,300-34,800 and Grade Pay of Rs. 5000/-.
Application Fees: Candidates need to pay an application fees of Rs. 150 in form of Receipt of State Bank of Sikkim, credited to 0051-SPSC.
