Candidates selected on the basis of Combined Geo-Scientist And Geologist Examination, 2014 shall be recruited for the following category:-

• Category I: (Posts in the Geological Survey of India, Ministry of Mines).

1. Geologist, Group A: 100
2. Geophysicist, Group A: 80
3. Chemist, Group A: 80

• Category II: (Posts in the Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources).

1. Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) Group A: 05

Total Number of Vacancies: 265 Posts

Educational Qualification For The Vacancy of Geologist:-
Candidates applying for the group A vacancy of Geologist should have done masters degree in geological sciences or applied geology or exploration or mineral exploration or engineering geology or marine geology or earth science and resource management in oceanography and costal area studies or petroleum geosciences or petroleum exploration or geochemistry or geological technology or geophysical technology.

Educational Qualification For The Vacancy of Geophysicists:-
Candidates applying for the group A vacancy of Geophysicists should have completed M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or M.Sc. (Geophysics) or Integrated M.Sc. (Exploration Geophysics) or M.Sc (Applied Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Marine Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Tech.) (Applied Geophysics).

Educational Qualification For The Vacancy of Chemists:-
Candidates applying for the group A vacancy of Chemists should have done M. Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.

Educational Qualification For The Vacancy of Hydrogeologists:-
Candidates applying for the group B vacancy of Hydrogeologists should have done masters degree in geology or applied geology or marine geology.

*Note: women/SC/ ST/ PH candidates are exempted from application fee.

Age Limit:-

• Candidates applying for Group A vacancies should be above 21 years and below 32 years.
• Candidates applying for Group B vacancies should be between 21to 35 years.
