About Planning Commission:-
The Planning Commission was set up in 1950. The Planning Commission was charged with the responsibility of making assessment of all resources of the country, augmenting deficient resources, formulating plans for the most effective and balanced utilisation of resources and determining priorities. Jawahar lal Nehru was the first Chairman of the Planning Commission.
The emphasis of the Commission is on maximising the output by using our limited resources optimally.

Age Limit: Maximum age of appointment on deputation basis shall be 56 years.
Educational Qualification for the vacancy of Joint Adviser (Labour & Empowerment): Candidates applying for the position of Joint Adviser (Labour & Empowerment) shall have a masters degree in Soil Science/ Statistics AND 12 years of relevant experience.
Educational Qualification for the vacancy of Joint Adviser (Industries and Infrastructure Planning): Candidates willing to apply for the position of Joint Adviser (Industries and Infrastructure Planning) should have completed a masters degree in science/ economics /statistics OR hold a degree in Engineering/Technology OR part 'A' & 'B' of Associate member of institute of engineering (AIME) AND 12 years of experience in relevant field.
Educational Qualification for the vacancy of Joint Adviser (Village and small Industries): Applying candidates should have a degree in Engineering/ Technology OR part 'A' & 'B' of Associate member of institute of engineering (AIME) AND 12 years of experience in relevant field.
Educational Qualification for the vacancy of Joint Adviser (Scientific Research): Applicants should have a degree in science/ engineering OR part 'A' & 'B' of Associate member of institute of engineering (AIME) AND 12 years of experience in relevant field.
Educational Qualification for the vacancy of Joint Adviser (Agriculture): Applicants should have masters degree in agriculture AND 12 years of experience in relevant field.
Educational Qualification for the vacancy of Joint Adviser (Multi-Level Planning): Applying candidates should have a degree in economics/ commerce/mathematics /statistics/ operation research/ geography and 12 years of experience in relevant field.
Educational Qualification for the vacancy of Joint Adviser (Industrial Economics/ Management): Applying candidates should have a masters degree in science/ economics/ commerce/mathematics /statistics/ operation research/ business administration OR part 'A' & 'B' of Associate member of institute of engineering (AIME) AND 12 years of experience in relevant field.
