SBI PO Selection Process & Exam Pattern: State Bank of India (SBI) conducting Probationary Officer (PO) exam for year 2014 and the selection procedure for the same is given below, candidates appearing for State Bank Of India (SBI) Probationary Officer (PO) Exam 2014, should check the complete selection as mentioned in post below.
SBI PO Selection Process & Exam Pattern: Complete Details:-
The SBI Probationary Officers examination is conducted in two phase:-Phase-I:-
Phase –I include two stages; at first stage candidates have to answer objective type question through online mode for 200 marks and the in second stage descriptive type question of 50 marks will be provided to candidates which shall be answered through pen and paper mode. The descriptive test will be conducted immediately after the objective test the total duration of First phase examination is 3 hours.
Objective Test:-
The two hours online objective test is divided into 4 different sections & each section comprise of 50 marks.
The candidates appearing in SBI PO (Probationary Officers) need to secure passing marks in following sections of objective types question:-
- English Language (Grammar, vocabulary, Comprehension etc )
- General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
- Data Analysis & Interpretation
- Reasoning (High Level)
The 1 hour pen and paper mode descriptive test is for 50 marks.
Appearing candidates will be provided with descriptive type of question such as comprehension, précis writing, letter writing and essay to check English Language.
Phase-II:-
Phase two consists of Group discussion and interview, candidates selected in the first phase shall have to go through group discussion of 20 marks and interview of 30 marks to clear Phase-II.Bank shall call candidates scoring aggregate marks in descending order for GD & interview.
Final Selection:-
Candidates who qualify Phase-I & Phase-II shall be selected.The Marks Scored in Phase-I (out of 250) shall be converted to out of 75 and marks scored in Phase-II (out of 50) shall be converted to 25. The final merit list is out of 100 marks after aggregating marks in written test and Group discussion and interview.
