As we have discussed in our previous post for IBPS CWE-2014, For PO & Management Trainee, we shall further update you on IBPS Syllabus -2014 & IBPS Examination pattern-2014.

Each and every minute of inspired candidates is important, you should study in right direction to secure you seat in IBPS-2014, don’t get carried away by untrue information. Now its right time to prepare for IBPS exams with clear and motivated minds. It is wise to keep yourself calm and prepare with enthusiasm.

The IBPS Syllabus will provide you study pattern, different sections of questions on which you have to focus, sections containing different marks, you need to calculate time to be spent on each section and finish your IBPS-CWE test timely.

Syllabus of IBPS CWE October- 2014:-

Institute of Banking Personal Selection is conduction online Common Written Examination (CWE) in October-2014. Candidates appearing in IBPS- 2014 CWE should prepare for their examination on the pattern given below in this post.
The duration of online Common Written Examination (CWE) will be for 2 hours containing five different sections namely Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge for 200 marks total.

IBPS Examination Syllabus/Pattern for Online Common Written Examination(CWE) October-2014:-


  1. Reasoning                          : 50 Marks
  2. English Language             : 40 Marks
  3. Quantitative Aptitude : 50 Marks
  4. General Awareness           : 40 Marks
  5. Computer Knowledge       : 20 Marks
          Total                             : 200 Marks

The duration of IBPS CWE is 2 hours.
*IBPS follows a specific Exam pattern & selection procedure and any change in the examination pattern shall be notified on IBPS website.

What is the IBPS Examination Pattern/Selection Procedure for Online Common Written Examination(CWE) October-2014 ?

The IBPS Examination Pattern/Selection Procedure for Online Common Written Examination(CWE) October-2014 is given below interested candidates are advised to read it carefully as this post might help in preparation for candidates appearing in IBPS CWE- 2014 .

The appearing candidates IBPS CWE- 2014 need to get the qualifying marks in all 5 sections of paper.  

Wrong Answers:  For each wrong answer one fourth of the assigned marks to that question will be deducted. If a question is left blank no marks shall be deducted for that.
Score: the score obtained by the appearing candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equipercentile method.

Cutoff Score: Candidates appearing for the Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts need to obtain minimum score in each sections of CWE and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview.

IBPS Interview for Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts: Only shortlisted candidates shall be called for interview. The other details of Interview shall be notified in IBPS Call letter of shortlisted candidates. Shortlisted candidates need to download the call letter before appearing in the interview of IBPS for Probationary Officer/ MT.
The interview shall be of 100 marks and the minimum qualifying marks for interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). Candidates who could not score minimum qualifying marks shall be not considered for further process. A candidate will get combined score on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in CWE PO/MT-IV and Interview. The ratio of CWE and interview is 80:20 respectively.

Provisional Allotment: A candidates qualifying CWE and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process.
As per the needs of bank participation in IBPS, the shortlisted candidates will be provisional allotted to the particular organisation. If the provisionally allotted candidate is not fulfilling the criteria  at any stage of recruitment then his/ her candidature shall fortified.
